The Housing and Food Services Maintenance Zone is responsible for all maintenance and housekeeping in the residence units and dining centers. Headquartered in the Carriage House at 161 Farm Acre Road on South Campus, the department features a staff of 136 with a diverse range of skills to serve your maintenance and housekeeping needs. Janitors and general maintenance staff work in all residence halls every day, seven days a week. Twenty-four-hour, seven-day-a-week emergency service is also provided. The Housekeeping staff is supported by a trades staff of electricians, plumbers, carpenters, and others, who work out of the HFSM Zone's central office. Our skilled professionals work together to repair problems and assure your living conditions are clean, comfortable, and safe.

Central to our services, is the Line, which is the most expedient way in which to report your repair needs. When you call at 443.4948 (or fill out the Request Form), maintenance staffers are radio dispatched to your location to address your needs 24 hours a day, seven days a week. For your convenience, we also have a Feedback Line at 443.9894, which is a voice mail message system created to collect your comments on our services. Whether it’s a question, suggestion, or concern, we appreciate your insights and welcome your call so that we may better serve your needs.
